It’s the start of October, which means that it’s also the start of the U of A’s annual United Way fundraising campaign. Earlier this month, you may have received a message from Chancellor Ralph Young outlining this year’s donation process (which is now all online), and throughout the month you’ll be invited to attend various events in support of the United Way.
Throughout October, we’ll be checking in to see how the fundraising is going, and will be providing updates about the fundraising events from across our campuses. Today’s update will be focused on today’s lunch…
Today (Wednesday, Oct. 7) marks the third edition of the Loopy Lunch. This event will bring a variety of food trucks to North Campus, including:
- Atilla the Hungry
- Casa12doce
- Dedos Food Truck
- Lemon Grass Grill
- Orbit
- Pampa Food Truck
- Sailin On
- Street Eats
- The Hop
So, whether or not you’re a foodie (after all, this Edmonton, and a lot of you are), you might just want to pretend that you’ve “forgotten” your lunch today. Doing so will provide you with an opportunity to enjoy an off campus treat while still on campus and will have the added bonus of helping to support Edmonton’s most vulnerable community members.
