• Sadaf Ahmed, Sessional Instructor, Department of Computing Science, Faculty of Science - recipient of the Kathleen Klawe Prize in Excellence in Teaching of Large Classes at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Catherine Chan and Rhonda Bell, Professors, Department of Agricultural Food and Nutritional Science, Faculty of Agricultural, Life, and Environmental Sciences - recipients of the Community Scholar Award at the 2016 Community Connections Awards
• Vincent Bouchard, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Faculty of Science - recipient of the Innovation in Teaching award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• The Chytracek Family, in memory of Mark Chytracek - Mark Chytracek was posthumously awarded the Community Living Award by Inclusion Alberta. The award was presented to Mark's family at Inclusion Alberta's annual Family Conference
• Darren Grant, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science - recipient of a Research Award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Sean Graves, Faculty Lecturer & Support Centre Coordinator, Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Faculty of Science - recipient of the Excellent Teaching award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Maribel Jiles, Applications Analyst, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Science - recipient of a Service Award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Mark Lewis, Professor, Departments of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences and Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science - recipient of the Graduate Mentoring Award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Bob Luth, Professor, Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Faculty of Science - recipient of a Service Award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Eric Rivard , Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science - recipient of a Research Award at the Faculty of Science's annual Celebration of Excellence
• Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Advocacy Committee, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry - recipient of the Community Leader Award at the 2016 Community Connections Awards
• UAlberta EcoCar Team - placed first at the Shell Ecomarathon Americas in Detroit, which qualifies the team to compete at the Shell Ecomarathon Europe and the Drivers World Championship in London this summer
