UAlberta Congrats

This week, the University of Alberta is celebrating an Emerald Award for the Augustana Campus, an inductee to the Edmonton's Sports Hall of Fame, awards granted at convocation, and more! So, congrats to the following:

• Nick Buzinsky, Student, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science - awarded the CD Howe Memorial Fellowship, the Governor General's Silver Medal and the Lieutenant Governor's Gold Medal

• Terry Danyluk, Head Coach, Golden Bears Volleyball - inducted into the City of Edmonton's Sports Hall of Fame

• Hadley Friedland, PhD Student, Faculty of Law - received the Governor General's Gold Medal recognizing the University of Alberta doctoral graduate with the highest academic standing

• Colleen Kaufman, Student, Faculties of Science and Education - received the Governor General's Silver Medal

• Fern Leavans, Student, School of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry - awarded the Alberta Premier's Silver Medal recognizing the undergraduate student who achieves the highest academic standing from the faculties of Law, Medicine & Dentistry, or Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

• Maxine Myre, Student, Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation - received the Vanier Graduate Scholarship for displaying academic excellence, research potential and leadership

• Augustana Campus, University of Alberta - won the Emerald Award in the Education: Postsecondary category for its University-Based Community Service Learning for the Environment Project
