Announcing the 201​7-201​8 McCalla Professorships

​The McCalla Professorship​s​ recognize our colleagues' ​contributions to student learning as well as their commitment to integrate teaching​ and research ​at the University of Alberta. ​ ​This award, named for the first dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research Arthur Gilbert McCalla, ​provides an opportunity ​for ​faculty members to further explore and implement strategies​ for integrating their teaching and research.​

It is my pleasure to announce the ​201​7-201​8 McCalla Professorship​ ​recipients:

  • Samira ElAtia - Associate Professor, Campus Saint-Jean
  • Anastasia Elias -  Associate Professor, Chemical and ​Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering
  • Fay Fletcher - Academic Director and Assoc Professor, Faculty of Extension
  • Martin Jagersand - Associate Professor, ​Computing Science, Faculty of Science
  • Michael O'Driscoll - Associate Professor, English and Film Studies, Faculty of Arts
  • Frances Plane - Associate Professor, ​Pharmacology​, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Trish Reay - Associate Professor, Strategic Management and Organization, Alberta School of Business
  • Marleny Saldana - Associate Professor, Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science, Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences
