• Sean Caulfield, Centennial Professor, Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Arts — named a New and Notable artist in Drawing magazine Drawing magazine

• Fengjing Chen, Student, Department of East Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts — won the grand prize in the 2017 National Korean speech contest at the U of Toronto

• Guanyan Li, Student, Department of East Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts — won first prize for the Intermediate category in the 2017 National Korean speech contest at the U of Toronto

• Kacey Otto, Pandas Volleyball — named Athlete of the Week

• Congratulations to the Golden Bears and Pandas Track and Field individual medallists from the U SPORTS national championship:

• Pandas Volleyball — won the Canada West Championship, the 11th title in program history

• University of Alberta Museums — won a Costume Society of America’s Richard Martin Award for Excellence in the Exhibition of Costume for the exhibit, “Eyewear: Fashion with Vision”

• Several University of Alberta buildings have been awarded Clean Air Awards from the National Air Filtration Association (who knew, right?):
