Calls For... Blood Pressure Study Research Participants

We are looking for volunteers for a large-scale clinical research study. It is a collaboration project between Computing Science and Medicine for measuring Blood Pressure continuously without a cuff.

We plan to study whether blood pressure can be measured accurately without a traditional inflatable cuff. Current methods only allow one measurement, we are testing a new way that provides continuous measurement. Continuous measurements could make blood pressure monitoring more accurate which is important for people who need treatment for high blood pressure.

Participants should:

  • be over 18 years old
  • have a regular heart beat
  • have a mid-arm circumference of between 25 – 43 cm

An honorarium will be provided.

Willing participants are requested to contact at abanerje@ualberta.ca
