Did you know you can donate your stool to cure disease?

Did you know that stool transplants have been occurring at the University of Alberta hospital since the fall of 2012? And did you know the reason behind these transplants is to cure diarrheal illness caused by C. difficile? Stool transplants, otherwise known as fecal microbiota transplants, are also being studied to treat other gastrointestinal illnesses!

We are recruiting 5 year old children to participate in a study where they will have the opportunity to learn and play with robotic systems. Children who choose to be a part of the study will participate in one 45 minute session where they will "feel" objects using haptic robotic systems!

The U of A’s Non-Playing, Totally Rad, Corporate Challenge Basketball Captain

I’ve been the university’s non-playing Corporate Challenge basketball captain for a decade and it’s an important job: I have to make sure everyone has the correct size of T-shirt and that they remember to bring their ONEcard on game night. Also, sometimes I bring water.

Sign-Up for the 2nd University of Alberta Indigenous Networking Forum

Since July of 2015, I have had the privilege of working on Aboriginal Initiatives, now known as Indigenous Initiatives, for the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic).  This includes co-chairing the Council on Aboriginal Initiatives with Chancellor Doug Stollery and supporting the University’s work in Indigenous research and scholarship, teaching and learning environments, student-centered supports, and responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
