The university's varsity teams were on a winning streak this month, with the Bears and Pandas taking home Western Championships in curling, tennis, hockey, and basketball.

The winning streak continued with the Panda's Volleyball Team taking home the CanadaWest title.

A National Championship was in the stars for the Pandas Hockey team, who had a well earned celebration after the final score was settled.

Michael Overduin, Executive Director of the National High Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Centre (NANUC), with his team and the Sample Jet at the University of Alberta. The Sample Jet will allow scientists to focus on the molecular causes of cancer, heart and neurodegenerative or infectious diseases, for which new treatments are critically needed.
