The ITU World Triathlon returns to Edmonton on July 20 and 21, 2019. As athletes swim, bike, and run their way across Edmonton, there are a few things you need to know:
Dates
Races take place throughout the day on July 20 and 21, 2019, and there are related activities on July 19.
Impacted Areas
On July 20 and 21, there are total road closures on Saskatchewan Drive (between 110 Street and Emily Murphy Park Road) and Groat Road (between 87 Avenue and River Valley Road). See the City of Edmonton Special Event Road Closures website for more information.
Depending on the race schedule, any or all of these routes may be affected:
- Groat Road
- Saskatchewan Drive
- 90 Ave
- 111 Street
- 116 Street
- 118 Street
- Edinboro Road
Park and Ride
Shuttle service is available from Windsor Car Park to Hawrelak Park on July 20 and July 21.
