The wellness of the University of Alberta community matters, and that’s why we are working closely with Alberta Health Services to monitor the latest developments concerning everything from the flu to COVID-19

You can find the latest information to help you stay healthy this winter by visiting the University Health Centre website. Updated regularly, this online space is used to keep our community informed about the novel coronavirus, the flu, health precautions for those travelling abroad, and will provide advice for those who may need to seek healthcare services.

We would also like to confirm that there are NO cases of COVID-19 at the U of A or in Alberta. Alberta Health Services continues to report that the risk of COVID-19 in Alberta remains low.

The Government of Canada recommends that travellers from Canada avoid non-essential travel to China at this time. The Government of Canada recommends that travellers avoid all travel to Hubei Province.

Travel to, and through, China is very restricted and travellers there will encounter difficulties in even routine travel activities within the country.

Accordingly, faculties and other portfolios are following the Government of Canada’s travel advisory and are altering, cancelling, or postponing non-essential travel plans to China at this time.
