In its institutional strategic plan, For the Public Good, the University of Alberta committed to encourage continuous improvement in administrative, governance, planning and stewardship systems that enable students, faculty, staff, and the institution as a whole to achieve shared strategic goals. In line with this commitment, we are pleased to inform you that in Fall 2018, the U of A is embarking on a multi-year exercise to better understand our current provision of administrative services and activities.

The university is introducing the UniForum program, a benchmarking initiative designed for reviewing university support services such as finance, purchasing, human resources, communications, and information technology. UniForum is the property of Cubane Consulting (Canada) which has helped over 50 universities gain significant insights into the efficiency and effectiveness of their support services. More information on the UniForum program can be found at https://www.cubaneconsulting.com/uniforum.

Cubane will be working with our university to implement UniForum. Through this program, data on administrative support services are collected and analyzed to enable the U of A to compare results with participating universities from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada. Ultimately, the U of A will be able to use the results to help us see what we are doing well, areas in which we can work to improve services, and where we can learn from other institutions.

As part of UniForum's data collection process, we will be conducting a satisfaction survey on the university's support services. The survey is divided into two parts; the first part will be administered from November 6 to 27, 2018, the second part will be administered in the Spring.

If you are selected as part of the sample group, please strongly consider completing the survey as your responses will provide valuable input. It should only take about 15 minutes to complete.

To ensure respondent confidentiality, the survey will be administered by Cubane Consulting. As such, the invitation will be sent from the email address noreply@surveys.cubane.co with the title Invitation to UniForum Service Satisfaction SurveyInvitation to UniForum Service Satisfaction Survey.

If you are selected as part of the sample group and decide to participate in the survey - thank you! Your insights will greatly contribute to helping us improve the university's administrative services.
